Olivia Munn bravely shared her journey of battling breast cancer, shedding light on her experience with medically induced menopause. In a heartfelt interview with People, published on April 17, the 43-year-old actress recounted her diagnosis and the series of surgeries she underwent since then.

Munn revealed that she discovered her breast cancer diagnosis in April 2023, leading to a double mastectomy and four subsequent surgeries. Discussing her treatment, she disclosed that hormone suppression therapy, initiated in November, was a crucial step in reducing the risk of cancer recurrence. However, this treatment also brought about medically induced menopause, manifesting in symptoms like hot flashes, hair thinning, and fatigue.

Despite the challenges, Munn approached menopause with resilience, recognizing it as an inevitable part of her journey. She explained, "I’m basically on a treatment of suppressing all my hormones, so I will go into menopause. And I will shut down all the hormone production in my tissue and my ovaries."

Throughout her ordeal, Munn found unwavering support from her partner, John Mulaney, and their two-year-old son, Malcolm. She expressed gratitude for Mulaney's constant presence and dedication, acknowledging his pivotal role in navigating this challenging time.
